# rakkup vs BoulderMap

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BoulderMap at 100% against rakkup's 54%. BoulderMap also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). rakkup's advantage is rating (2.2 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (25 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. rakkup sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. BoulderMap asks for nothing beyond the download.

rakkup holds the better App Store score, 2.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: rakkup has 25 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of rakkup's written reviews are positive against 100% of BoulderMap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

rakkup ships an update every 2 months, BoulderMap every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
