# Earthmate vs Mirror Control

The clearest difference is rating: Earthmate at 2.7 against Mirror Control's 1.3. Earthmate also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (272 vs 3). Mirror Control's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Earthmate holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Earthmate has 272 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Earthmate's written reviews are positive against 29% of Mirror Control's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Earthmate ships an update monthly, Mirror Control every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
