# Tumblium vs Canvid

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Canvid at 100% against Tumblium's 33%. Canvid also leads on rating (4.8 vs 2.0) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Tumblium's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Canvid holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Canvid has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Tumblium's written reviews are positive against 100% of Canvid's.

Tumblium ships an update every 2 weeks, Canvid every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
