# OnCue Prompter vs Teleprompter

The clearest difference is rating: Teleprompter at 4.5 against OnCue Prompter's 2.9. Teleprompter also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 9) and chart position (#155 vs unranked). OnCue Prompter's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 19) and review sentiment (38% vs 12%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Teleprompter sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. OnCue Prompter asks for nothing beyond the download.

Teleprompter holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Teleprompter has 3K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of OnCue Prompter's written reviews are positive against 12% of Teleprompter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
