# OnCue Prompter vs Prompter Duo

The clearest difference is rating: Prompter Duo at 4.1 against OnCue Prompter's 2.9. OnCue Prompter's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 10 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Prompter Duo holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of OnCue Prompter's written reviews are positive against 33% of Prompter Duo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OnCue Prompter ships an update fortnightly, Prompter Duo every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
