# generika vs Bible Chat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: generika at none against Bible Chat's 17. generika also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 84%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Bible Chat's advantage is ratings volume (370K vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bible Chat sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. generika asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for generika against 4.9 for Bible Chat. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible Chat has 370K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of generika's written reviews are positive against 84% of Bible Chat's.

generika ships an update fortnightly, Bible Chat every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
