# Star Wars Insider vs Lightsaber Simulator

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lightsaber Simulator at 88% against Star Wars Insider's 45%. Lightsaber Simulator also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (2.4K vs 89). Star Wars Insider's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Star Wars Insider sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $23.99 per 6 months and Lightsaber Simulator sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lightsaber Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lightsaber Simulator has 2.4K ratings behind it against 89, so its average is the more settled of the two.
