# 94.7 WCSX vs Black Diamond Broadcasting

The clearest difference is rating: 94.7 WCSX at 4.8 against Black Diamond Broadcasting's 4.3. 94.7 WCSX also leads on ratings volume (468 vs 8). Black Diamond Broadcasting's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

94.7 WCSX holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 94.7 WCSX has 468 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of 94.7 WCSX's written reviews are positive against 67% of Black Diamond Broadcasting's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

94.7 WCSX ships an update every 5 months, Black Diamond Broadcasting every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
