# Star Gazette vs Space Launch Schedule

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Space Launch Schedule at none against Star Gazette's 4. Space Launch Schedule also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.6). Star Gazette's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.8). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Star Gazette sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Space Launch Schedule asks for nothing beyond the download.

Star Gazette holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 195 and 165 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Star Gazette's written reviews are positive against 45% of Space Launch Schedule's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Star Gazette ships an update monthly, Space Launch Schedule every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
