# SilverCloud vs Americaloc Viewer

The clearest difference is rating: SilverCloud at 4.6 against Americaloc Viewer's 4.2. SilverCloud also leads on ratings volume (41K vs 13). Americaloc Viewer's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 34%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SilverCloud holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SilverCloud has 41K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of SilverCloud's written reviews are positive against 60% of Americaloc Viewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SilverCloud ships an update every 2 months, Americaloc Viewer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
