# du vs BUTTONS LAB

The clearest difference is rating: du at 4.5 against BUTTONS LAB's 4.0. du also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 1). BUTTONS LAB's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 14%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

du holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: du has 15K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of du's written reviews are positive against 33% of BUTTONS LAB's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

du ships an update fortnightly, BUTTONS LAB every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
