# Checklist vs Basic Checklist

The clearest difference is rating: Checklist at 4.7 against Basic Checklist's 4.2. Checklist also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (2.9K vs 21). Basic Checklist's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Checklist sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Basic Checklist asks for nothing beyond the download.

Checklist holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Checklist has 2.9K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Checklist's written reviews are positive against 83% of Basic Checklist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Checklist ships an update every 11 days, Basic Checklist every 26 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
