# Suns vs proof3

The clearest difference is rating: proof3 at 5.0 against Suns's 3.8. proof3 also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Suns's advantage is ratings volume (212 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

proof3 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Suns has 212 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Suns ships an update every 2 months, proof3 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
