# MijnVISmaat vs Scouting

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scouting at every 6 weeks against MijnVISmaat's every 3 months. MijnVISmaat's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MijnVISmaat ships an update every 3 months, Scouting every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
