# StitchBuddy HD vs Stitch Count

The clearest difference is update cadence: StitchBuddy HD at every 3 months against Stitch Count's every 18 months. StitchBuddy HD also leads on ratings volume (296 vs 12). Stitch Count's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StitchBuddy HD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Stitch Count sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for StitchBuddy HD against 4.3 for Stitch Count.
