# Hydro One Mobile vs AppCam Solo

The clearest difference is update cadence: AppCam Solo at monthly against Hydro One Mobile's every 7 months. AppCam Solo also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0). Hydro One Mobile's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 2.6). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hydro One Mobile holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of Hydro One Mobile's written reviews are positive against 14% of AppCam Solo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hydro One Mobile ships an update every 7 months, AppCam Solo monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
