# FTPManager Pro vs Nixi File Manager

The clearest difference is price: Nixi File Manager at Free against FTPManager Pro's $2.99. Nixi File Manager also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). FTPManager Pro's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 9) and review sentiment (69% vs 50%). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Nixi File Manager is free to download; FTPManager Pro costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nixi File Manager holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FTPManager Pro has 1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of FTPManager Pro's written reviews are positive against 50% of Nixi File Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
