# Parrot Audio Suite vs Roon

The clearest difference is rating: Roon at 3.6 against Parrot Audio Suite's 2.5. Roon also leads on ratings volume (558 vs 42) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Parrot Audio Suite's advantage is review sentiment (42% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Roon holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Roon has 558 ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Parrot Audio Suite's written reviews are positive against 33% of Roon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Parrot Audio Suite ships an update every 2 months, Roon every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
