# TimeKeeper vs Microsoft Whiteboard

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Microsoft Whiteboard at none against TimeKeeper's 1. Microsoft Whiteboard also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (12K vs 39). TimeKeeper's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeKeeper sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Microsoft Whiteboard asks for nothing beyond the download.

Microsoft Whiteboard holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Whiteboard has 12K ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of TimeKeeper's written reviews are positive against 36% of Microsoft Whiteboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TimeKeeper ships an update every 11 days, Microsoft Whiteboard every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
