# ClassLink LaunchPad vs IXL

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ClassLink LaunchPad at none against IXL's 3. ClassLink LaunchPad also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). IXL's advantage is ratings volume (206K vs 7.4K). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IXL sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. ClassLink LaunchPad asks for nothing beyond the download.

IXL holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IXL has 206K ratings behind it against 7.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of ClassLink LaunchPad's written reviews are positive against 38% of IXL's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ClassLink LaunchPad ships an update every 2 weeks, IXL monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
