# OKO⁢ vs The Guides Compendium

The clearest difference is rating: The Guides Compendium at 4.2 against OKO⁢'s 4.0. The Guides Compendium also leads on price ($0.99 vs $3.99) and chart position (#92 vs unranked). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

OKO⁢ costs $3.99 and The Guides Compendium $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Guides Compendium holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Guides Compendium has 18 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of OKO⁢'s written reviews are positive against 70% of The Guides Compendium's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OKO⁢ ships an update every 44 months, The Guides Compendium every 25 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
