# Video Scratch vs TKFX

The clearest difference is rating: TKFX at 4.4 against Video Scratch's 4.0. TKFX also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (45 vs 11). Video Scratch's advantage is iOS requirement (5.1.1 vs 14). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Scratch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TKFX sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TKFX holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 45 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Video Scratch's written reviews are positive against 66% of TKFX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Video Scratch ships an update every 4 months, TKFX every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
