# WSET Wine Game vs Connect Words

The clearest difference is rating: Connect Words at 4.6 against WSET Wine Game's 3.2. Connect Words also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 32 months) and ratings volume (51K vs 11). WSET Wine Game's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Connect Words holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Connect Words has 51K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of WSET Wine Game's written reviews are positive against 39% of Connect Words's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WSET Wine Game ships an update every 32 months, Connect Words every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
