# Shogi vs Daifugo master

Shogi and Daifugo master both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 60% of Shogi's written reviews are positive against 24% of Daifugo master's. Shogi also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 24) and ratings volume (532 vs 5). Daifugo master's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 8 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daifugo master sells 24 one-off in-app purchases. Shogi asks for nothing beyond the download.

Daifugo master holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shogi has 532 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Shogi's written reviews are positive against 24% of Daifugo master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shogi ships an update every 8 months, Daifugo master monthly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
