# MetService vs Mountain

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mountain at 74% against MetService's 20%. Mountain also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.4) and ratings volume (707 vs 13). MetService's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MetService sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Mountain sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mountain holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mountain has 707 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of MetService's written reviews are positive against 74% of Mountain's.

MetService ships an update fortnightly, Mountain every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
