# MetService vs Aurora Watch Global

The clearest difference is rating: Aurora Watch Global at 5.0 against MetService's 3.4. Aurora Watch Global also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). MetService's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MetService sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Aurora Watch Global sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aurora Watch Global holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MetService has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MetService ships an update fortnightly, Aurora Watch Global every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
