# FTPManager vs FTP Client Lite

The clearest difference is rating: FTPManager at 4.5 against FTP Client Lite's 3.9. FTPManager also leads on ratings volume (2.6K vs 75). FTP Client Lite's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FTPManager holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FTPManager has 2.6K ratings behind it against 75, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 48% and 49% positive.

FTPManager ships an update every 2 months, FTP Client Lite every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
