# ActiveAlert vs Treering Time Employee

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Treering Time Employee at 100% against ActiveAlert's 55%. Treering Time Employee also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.6). ActiveAlert's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.7) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ActiveAlert holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ActiveAlert has 741 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of ActiveAlert's written reviews are positive against 100% of Treering Time Employee's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ActiveAlert ships an update every 9 days, Treering Time Employee every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
