# Pro Party Planner vs Eventful

The clearest difference is rating: Pro Party Planner at 5.0 against Eventful's 2.9. Eventful's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (83% vs 47%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Party Planner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Eventful sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pro Party Planner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Pro Party Planner's written reviews are positive against 83% of Eventful's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pro Party Planner ships an update fortnightly, Eventful every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
