# Mind Map Maker vs reteNoteLite

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Mind Map Maker at 473 against reteNoteLite's 2. Mind Map Maker also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). reteNoteLite's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mind Map Maker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $35.99 per 6 months and reteNoteLite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mind Map Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mind Map Maker has 473 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Mind Map Maker's written reviews are positive against 100% of reteNoteLite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mind Map Maker ships an update every 9 days, reteNoteLite every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
