# Mind Map Maker vs GitMind

The clearest difference is rating: Mind Map Maker at 4.7 against GitMind's 3.6. Mind Map Maker also leads on ratings volume (473 vs 17). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mind Map Maker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $35.99 per 6 months and GitMind sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mind Map Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mind Map Maker has 473 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Mind Map Maker's written reviews are positive against 77% of GitMind's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mind Map Maker ships an update every 9 days, GitMind fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
