# Flamboyant vs NV

The clearest difference is ads: Flamboyant at none against NV's shown. Flamboyant also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (82 vs 9). NV's advantage is review sentiment (62% vs 43%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Flamboyant against 4.9 for NV. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flamboyant has 82 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 43% of Flamboyant's written reviews are positive against 62% of NV's.

Flamboyant ships an update every 2 weeks, NV fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
