# Wicca Spellbook vs ComicReader

The clearest difference is price: ComicReader at Free against Wicca Spellbook's $0.99. ComicReader also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Wicca Spellbook's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 55%) and chart position (#37 vs unranked). On ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

ComicReader is free to download; Wicca Spellbook costs $0.99 up front. Wicca Spellbook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and ComicReader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ComicReader holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 36 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Wicca Spellbook's written reviews are positive against 55% of ComicReader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wicca Spellbook ships an update every 2 months, ComicReader monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
