# Wicca Spellbook vs ComicReader

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ComicReader at none against Wicca Spellbook's 3. ComicReader also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Wicca Spellbook's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 55%) and chart position (#43 vs unranked). On ads there is nothing between them.

Wicca Spellbook costs $0.99 and ComicReader $2.99 up front. Wicca Spellbook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. ComicReader asks for nothing beyond the download.

ComicReader holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 36 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Wicca Spellbook's written reviews are positive against 55% of ComicReader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wicca Spellbook ships an update every 2 months, ComicReader monthly. Both last shipped on October 11, 2026.
