# MediacomConnect vs Clearwave Wi

The clearest difference is rating: Clearwave Wi at 4.3 against MediacomConnect's 3.3. MediacomConnect's advantage is ratings volume (7.8K vs 197) and review sentiment (17% vs 5%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Clearwave Wi holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MediacomConnect has 7.8K ratings behind it against 197, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of MediacomConnect's written reviews are positive against 5% of Clearwave Wi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MediacomConnect ships an update every 2 months, Clearwave Wi every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
