# MediacomConnect vs Dirtbuster

The clearest difference is rating: MediacomConnect at 3.3 against Dirtbuster's 2.7. MediacomConnect also leads on ratings volume (7.8K vs 9) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MediacomConnect holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MediacomConnect has 7.8K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of MediacomConnect's written reviews are positive against 20% of Dirtbuster's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MediacomConnect ships an update every 2 months, Dirtbuster every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
