# eReader™ vs PureLibro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PureLibro at 77% against eReader™'s 23%. PureLibro also leads on rating (4.6 vs 2.3) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). eReader™'s advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eReader™ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and PureLibro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PureLibro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PureLibro has 362 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 23% of eReader™'s written reviews are positive against 77% of PureLibro's.

eReader™ ships an update every 2 months, PureLibro every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
