# Backgammon 16 Games vs Long Narde

The clearest difference is price: Long Narde at Free against Backgammon 16 Games's $2.99. Long Narde also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 48). Backgammon 16 Games's advantage is review sentiment (32% vs 13%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Long Narde is free to download; Backgammon 16 Games costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Long Narde holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Long Narde has 1.6K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Backgammon 16 Games's written reviews are positive against 13% of Long Narde's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Backgammon 16 Games ships an update fortnightly, Long Narde monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
