# CogniFit vs MindPal

The clearest difference is ads: CogniFit at none against MindPal's shown. CogniFit also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). MindPal's advantage is ratings volume (86K vs 1.7K) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CogniFit sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and MindPal sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MindPal holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MindPal has 86K ratings behind it against 1.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of CogniFit's written reviews are positive against 80% of MindPal's.

CogniFit ships an update weekly, MindPal every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
