# CogniFit vs Brainy

The clearest difference is ads: CogniFit at none against Brainy's shown. CogniFit also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 66). Brainy's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CogniFit sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Brainy sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brainy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CogniFit has 1.7K ratings behind it against 66, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of CogniFit's written reviews are positive against 67% of Brainy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CogniFit ships an update weekly, Brainy fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
