# iMemories vs Loop Photo Frame

The clearest difference is rating: iMemories at 4.9 against Loop Photo Frame's 3.9. iMemories also leads on ratings volume (7.7K vs 142) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). Loop Photo Frame's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iMemories sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Loop Photo Frame asks for nothing beyond the download.

iMemories holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iMemories has 7.7K ratings behind it against 142, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of iMemories's written reviews are positive against 46% of Loop Photo Frame's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iMemories ships an update every 5 weeks, Loop Photo Frame every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
