# Shell Mania vs Bunco Classic

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Shell Mania at 100% against Bunco Classic's 42%. Shell Mania also leads on price (Free vs $2.99) and ratings volume (34 vs 2). Bunco Classic's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 5 months vs every 38 months). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Shell Mania is free to download; Bunco Classic costs $2.99 up front. Shell Mania sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Bunco Classic sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bunco Classic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shell Mania has 34 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Shell Mania's written reviews are positive against 42% of Bunco Classic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shell Mania ships an update every 38 months, Bunco Classic every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
