# Litres vs Demchog

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Demchog at none against Litres's 11. Demchog also leads on review sentiment (76% vs 63%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Litres's advantage is ratings volume (2.7K vs 11) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Litres sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per month. Demchog asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Litres against 4.6 for Demchog. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Litres has 2.7K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of Litres's written reviews are positive against 76% of Demchog's.

Litres ships an update fortnightly, Demchog every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
