# Litres vs LiveLib

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: LiveLib at none against Litres's 11. LiveLib also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 18.0). Litres's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 29%) and chart position (#95 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Litres sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per month. LiveLib asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Litres against 4.6 for LiveLib. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Litres has 2.7K ratings behind it against 390, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of Litres's written reviews are positive against 29% of LiveLib's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
