# Litres vs Буквоед

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Буквоед at none against Litres's 11. Буквоед also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Litres's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 68). On price, rating and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Litres sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per month. Буквоед asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Litres against 4.8 for Буквоед. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Litres has 2.8K ratings behind it against 68, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of Litres's written reviews are positive against 48% of Буквоед's.

Litres ships an update fortnightly, Буквоед every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
