# Metamorpho vs MixFaces

The clearest difference is update cadence: Metamorpho at every 3 months against MixFaces's every 6 months. Metamorpho also leads on iOS requirement (7.0 vs 17.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metamorpho sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MixFaces sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Metamorpho ships an update every 3 months, MixFaces every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
