# Metamorpho vs Trace Camera

The clearest difference is update cadence: Trace Camera at every 2 weeks against Metamorpho's every 3 months. Metamorpho's advantage is iOS requirement (7.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metamorpho sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Trace Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Metamorpho ships an update every 3 months, Trace Camera every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
