# Zombie Tsunami vs Hungry Shark Evolution

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hungry Shark Evolution at fortnightly against Zombie Tsunami's every 2 months. Hungry Shark Evolution also leads on ratings volume (201K vs 13K) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zombie Tsunami sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Hungry Shark Evolution sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hungry Shark Evolution holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hungry Shark Evolution has 201K ratings behind it against 13K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Zombie Tsunami's written reviews are positive against 77% of Hungry Shark Evolution's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Zombie Tsunami ships an update every 2 months, Hungry Shark Evolution fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
