# ShotokanPro vs Aikido Weapons

The clearest difference is price: Aikido Weapons at Free against ShotokanPro's $19.99. Aikido Weapons also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 50%). ShotokanPro's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.0) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.4). On ratings volume, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Aikido Weapons is free to download; ShotokanPro costs $19.99 up front. ShotokanPro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Aikido Weapons sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ShotokanPro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of ShotokanPro's written reviews are positive against 67% of Aikido Weapons's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ShotokanPro ships an update every 5 months, Aikido Weapons every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
