# SphereLens vs Pro Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Pro Camera at 4.4 against SphereLens's 3.5. Pro Camera also leads on ratings volume (999 vs 2). SphereLens's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (75% vs 53%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. SphereLens asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pro Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Camera has 999 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of SphereLens's written reviews are positive against 53% of Pro Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SphereLens ships an update every 3 weeks, Pro Camera every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 10, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
